Sri Lanka Travel - Unwind the Nature at Its Best

Sri Lanka is a mercurial mix of opportunities and an idyllic landscape, which is counted in the list of an ultimate holiday destination. One can experience rich abundant natural beauty and glistering tapestry of culture. The entire island is an original paradise amid scenic beauty. This small island has many nicknames such as the Pearl of the Orient, Teardrop of India etc... and its colorful collection revealing its richness and beauty that evokes the visitors while on Sri Lanka travel.
Sri Lanka, a beach holiday destination, offers host of tourism opportunities. Majestic waterfalls, Palm-fringed pristine beaches, museums, quaint hill stations, pilgrimage sites, adventure sports facilities, world heritage sites, National Parks, -Srilanka is a comprehensive tourist package. Some of the main attractions in Sri Lanka are:-
• Adams Peak- Being the part of group of mountains situated in Ratnapura district, it presents one of the most spectacular sightseeing tour. It is considered sacred by followers of many religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. It has been given different names by people of different religion.
• Henarathgoda Botanical garden- located at around thirty kilometers North West of Colombo, there is large variety of trees from every corner of tropical world. It is famous for growth of first seedling of Brazilian rubber plant. One can easily come cross flowering plants, dry land forests, tropical evergreen forests, subtropical evergreen forests etc...
• Temple of the Tooth- it is one of the greatest relics of Lord Buddha's tooth, which has been enshrined in this temple. As it is located in the city of Kandy, it has been declared as one of the world Heritage sites by UNESCO. It is one of the scared places for the Buddhist followers.
In addition to these, there are many attractions and the number of cities, which offer myriad of opportunities for the tourists, each with its own unique taste. Each city of Sri Lanka is said to have well developed infrastructure that welcomes tourists with open arms. Hospitality on this beautiful island is wonderful.
